Ph.D. Program Admissions
The Department of Political Science and Public Administration accepts students to the Ph.D. program a year for enrolment in September.
Once enrolled, the student must complete the minimum required course load of eight courses in a maximum period of four consecutive semesters with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.00/4.00. The Ph.D. candidate is also expected to be successful in the Ph.D. Qualifying Examination, which he/she must take during the first semester following the completion of his/her course work. After the Qualifying Examination, students are supposed to work towards completing their Ph.D. Dissertation which should be submitted no later than the end of the student's 12th semester in the program. Ph.D. candidates are expected to defend their dissertation in front of an academic jury established by the department before submitting it to the Graduate School of Social Sciences.
